description:
Postcast is a minimalist iOS, iPadOS, and macOS app that turns written content into listenable audio. Share a link from Safari or any app, paste an article or a post from X, or import a PDF or text file. Postcast extracts the readable text on your device and reads it aloud with a polished, natural neural voice.
Your articles live in a library that works like Notes: folders you name, search across all of them, and a Recently Deleted folder that keeps anything you remove for 30 days. The player works like a podcast app: play and pause from the lock screen, Control Center, or your car, skip 15 seconds in either direction, scrub anywhere, and pick pitch-corrected speeds from 0.75x to 2x. The words light up on screen as they are spoken and the page scrolls to keep up, a tap on any paragraph jumps straight to it, and every article remembers where you left off. Line up what to hear next with Play Next and Play Last. Listening starts within seconds, and the rest of the article keeps rendering while you listen.
Share a reply from an X thread and Postcast reads the whole conversation that led to it, from the first post down.
Everything happens on your device. The voice is built into the app, so there is nothing to download and listening works completely offline from the moment you install it. Articles are fetched directly from the link you share and never pass through any server, and nothing you read is ever sent anywhere to be spoken.
One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, and Mac: no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no accounts, and no ads. That is how it will stay.
Postcast is an independent app and is not affiliated with any publisher or content platform.
