Editorial and advertising policy
AppleApps helps you explore apps, practical guides and Apple stories. Our aim is to connect each suggestion with the task, access conditions and limitations that matter to you.
How we describe an app
Documentation checks and hands-on use are different kinds of evidence. A piece based on product documentation or an App Store listing must say so. A claim about testing must describe the actual scope, including the device, version, storefront and date when those details matter.
App features, availability and prices can change. A guide should make relevant account, subscription, device and regional limits clear. Our articles provide context for your choice; they do not promise a health result, financial return or security outcome.
Advertising and editorial choices
Paid articles and advertising blocks must carry an Advertisement label before their headline and explain who paid for the content near the beginning. A separate advertising block must keep its commercial message and action inside that block.
AppleApps does not sell review scores, positive conclusions, awards, editorial recommendation labels, collection membership or collection order. An advertiser may supply evidence to correct a factual error. Payment does not give it control over an editorial conclusion or the removal of a supported limitation.
Affiliate links and supplied access
If AppleApps may earn a commission from a link, the link must carry a nearby affiliate disclosure. A label or policy link in the footer alone is not enough. A link to the App Store does not by itself establish an affiliate arrangement.
If a developer supplies access, a subscription, a licence or another relevant benefit for coverage, the article must describe that benefit and its actual evidence or testing scope. Supplied access is not proof that hands-on testing took place. If both access and payment are provided, both must be disclosed.
Corrections
Use our contact page to report a factual error, broken link or missing disclosure. Include the article or page and the detail that needs attention. Material corrections should be dated and explained on the affected content.
