Life's too short to ride busy roads! cycle.travel is the app that finds you a route on quiet lanes and traffic-free cycleways.
Turn-by-turn directions and offline maps are 100% free - no need to "go premium". Trusted by thousands as a route-planning website, it's now an app for the first time.
Plan a cross-city commute, an afternoon ride, or a two-month touring holiday. cycle.travel finds your route in seconds to select the quietest, most scenic roads. Put your phone on your handlebars and let cycle.travel guide you.
cycle.travel is 100% independent, developed by one cyclist to plan the sort of routes I love. Become a supporter to help development of the app, and get extra maps such as Ordnance Survey, IGN France and OpenCycleMap!
"Essential for bicycling nomads" - The Guardian. "Fantastic" - Alastair Humphreys, author of Microadventures. "Better than all the other cycling route planners" - Jack Thurston, author of Lost Lanes. "A really good tool that I use a lot" - Will Norman, London's Cycling & Walking Commissioner.
(You can become a supporter within the app! This helps me develop it and keeps the servers running, plus gives you extra maps and other features. If you choose to do so, a purchase of the value you select will be applied to your Apple account on confirmation; subscriptions renew each month unless cancelled within 24 hours before the end of the period. You can cancel any time from your standard account settings, or by choosing "Account status" within the app. The privacy policy is at https://cycle.travel/about/privacy and the terms of use are at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ .)
