description:
Pass your police, army or fire bleep test: precise bleeps that never freeze, results that actually save, and the exact level your role needs.
The multi-stage fitness test is simple and unforgiving — run the shuttle, turn on the bleep, do it again a little faster every minute. Almost everything that makes it hard to train for is a timing problem, so that is what this app gets right.
BLEEPS THAT NEVER FREEZE
The whole test is built as one continuous, sample-locked audio track — not a repeating timer. It keeps perfect time from the first bleep to the last, with your screen locked, your phone in an armband, and your own music still playing underneath. A triple bleep marks every level change, and a count-in gets you on the line.
15 METRES AND 20 METRES
Both protocols, properly implemented. The UK police and fire Job Related Fitness Test runs on a 15 m course, not 20 m — so that is exactly what this app runs: 17 levels with the JRFT's own shuttle times and scoring, where level 5:4 is 35 shuttles in 3 minutes 35 seconds. The 20 m multi-stage fitness test is here too, all 21 levels and 247 shuttles, for army selection and anywhere a full-size course is used. Switch between them in one tap.
EVERY TEST SAVES ITSELF
The moment you stop, the result is written: level and shuttle, shuttle count, distance, elapsed time and your estimated aerobic capacity. No Save button to forget. Your history and personal bests are there the next time you open the app, and the next time after that.
THE LEVEL YOUR ROLE ACTUALLY NEEDS
Pick what you are training for and the target sits on screen for the whole test, flipping the second you pass it:
• UK police — the Job Related Fitness Test standard, public order (PSU) shield, dog handler, authorised firearms officer
• British Army general entry
• UK fire and rescue recruit firefighter
• Australian Defence Force, and Australian police and fire services
Every entry shows where the number came from and the date it was checked. Standards change, so a custom target lets you set any level yourself.
ON YOUR WRIST
Open Bleep Test on your Apple Watch and your level and shuttle appear there, with a tap on every turn and a triple tap when the level steps up. Useful when your phone is at the end of the track and you are not.
WORKS THE WAY YOU TRAIN
• One price, everything included — no subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases
• Completely offline. No account, no sign-up, no data leaves your phone
• Estimated VO2 max from your score, with the fitness band it falls in
• Personal bests per course, a seven-day training strip, and your full history
The bleep test is a maximal effort. Warm up, run on a flat non-slip surface with clear space at both ends, and stop if you feel unwell. Estimated aerobic capacity is a fitness guide calculated from your score — it is not a medical measurement or medical advice.
This is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any police force, fire and rescue service or the British Army. Always confirm the current requirement with the organisation before you test.
