The festival starts before the first set: someone shares a lineup, another person checks the journey, and the group chat asks which ticket to buy. The useful app depends on the question you are trying to answer.
RA Guide starts with the electronic-music scene. DICE combines discovery with tickets for participating events. Bandsintown follows the artists you already care about. A simple Notes itinerary can bring the separate decisions together.
This guide is based on developer documentation and App Store listings checked on 1 October 2026. All three discovery apps are listed in the UK and UAE storefronts. UAE RA Guide listing, UAE DICE listing, UAE Bandsintown listing. The ticket-policy examples below use UK-facing documentation; a downloadable app does not establish local event coverage or identical rules elsewhere. We have not tested these apps at a festival.
RA Guide: start with the scene
If you want to explore electronic music in a city, RA Guide is a useful place to begin. Its current listing describes discovery through location and followed artists or clubs, importing artist preferences from iTunes or Apple Music, and ticket purchases for selected events. That is a way into a scene, rather than a promise that every festival will appear. UK App Store listing.
The listing advertises Apple Wallet support. Check the options on your own order before relying on a pass: we have not verified the Wallet flow for every event. External Apple Calendar sync is unconfirmed, so manually add your confirmed event details if you want a calendar reminder.
