Sometimes the next story worth trying asks you to settle into a different rhythm. The voices, the setting and the small details of a neighborhood may feel less familiar. That can be part of the appeal.
Apple announced the trailer for Where’s Wanda? season two on September 23. The German-language dark comedy, produced by UFA Fiction, returns with eight episodes starting October 21, followed by weekly releases through December 9. The season is still upcoming.
The AppleApps take
A trailer is a useful fit check, provided you do not ask it to prove more than it can. It can introduce a tone and premise. It cannot tell you whether every episode will work for you.
For a series combining family tension, mystery and dark comedy, decide which part draws you in. If you mainly want an easy comedy at the end of a tiring day, the mystery element may be a consideration. If you enjoy uncertainty and awkward family dynamics, those may be reasons to look closer.
Make language part of the choice
Check the audio and subtitle options on the show page in your region. Choose the arrangement you prefer rather than assuming every service offers the same options everywhere.
If subtitles are new to your viewing routine, give yourself a fair setting for trying them. Put the other screen aside and watch the trailer with your attention on the story. A half-watched minute while answering messages is a poor test of whether the experience fits you.
For a returning show, decide how much of the earlier season you want to revisit. A brief personal note about the characters or questions you remember can be more useful than searching for a recap that reveals something you wanted to discover yourself.
Try this
Watch the trailer, inspect the local language and content information, and put October 21 in your viewing notes if the premise appeals. Leave the final verdict open until you actually watch.
