Checked 1 October 2026. This is a documentation and App Store listing audit of Paprika Recipe Manager 3 for iOS. We have not cooked from imported recipes or tested sync and export.
A recipe looks perfect on Sunday. By Tuesday, you cannot remember which tab it was in or whether you already have the ingredients. Paprika's fit is a week of dinners: a small collection you actually cook from, with a plan and shopping list attached. The collection should help dinner happen, not become another hobby in sorting bookmarks.
From recipe to shopping list
Hindsight Labs' iOS listing describes saving recipes from websites or entering your own, organising them, planning meals and producing grocery lists. It also includes pantry records and reusable menus. Those are connected stages of the same job. Our interpretation is that Paprika earns its space when a recipe moves through several stages, rather than stopping at “saved for later.” Paprika 3 for iOS
The user guide describes an ingredient-consolidation setting that combines similar grocery entries. It also documents manual clipping when a website cannot be parsed automatically. Treat an import as something to inspect: servings, ingredient quantities and the order of directions should still match the original. An organised list is only useful if the numbers going into it are right. Paprika iOS guide
You do not need a complicated weekly system to find out whether this suits you. Two meals and one familiar recipe are enough for a first evaluation. A pantry entry is also a record you maintain, not a live view into the fridge. Keep the experiment small enough that correcting it takes less effort than dinner itself.
The purchase is platform-specific
The inspected US listing prices the iPhone and iPad version at US$4.99 and requires iOS 12.0 or later. Paprika's developer says each platform version is sold separately. Buying the iOS app therefore does not include the Mac, Windows or Android purchase. Check current regional prices and the total for the devices you intend to use before building a cross-device routine. ,
