The useful inbox is the one you can act on, not the one that looks busiest. Microsoft Outlook is a candidate when email and calendar decisions need to sit close together on the phone.
What the listing establishes
The current developer listing describes multiple email accounts, calendars, inbox organisation, swipe actions and attachment workflows. It also identifies account or subscription requirements for Copilot features. The email app and its optional AI capabilities should therefore be evaluated as different parts of the offer.
The AppleApps read
Consider Outlook when you regularly move from a message to a meeting decision. The useful relationship is between the account, the calendar and the action you intend to take. Adding every address you own may be less helpful than beginning with the account you actually use for that routine.
A sorting feature can help you browse, but it does not decide which message matters to your work. Inspect the result rather than treating an automatically selected inbox view as an authority on urgency.
A useful first check
Add an intended account through the supported sign-in process and inspect the calendars visible with it. Check an ordinary meeting’s time zone and availability, then look at the configured swipe actions before using them on important messages.
If the account belongs to an organisation, ask which device policies and app requirements apply. Personal preference is only part of the fit when the mail and calendar are managed by someone else.
Before you commit
Inspect notifications per account, particularly if the app brings personal and work messages together. Read the current attachment and connected-storage arrangements before granting access you do not need.
If you use Copilot, verify the account entitlement and review important outputs against the original messages. A drafted reply should still reflect what you mean to send. The practical first result is an account and calendar you understand, not a subscription purchased for features you have not chosen to use.
